Red wines of the AOC of Patrimonio
Niellucciu is the endemic grape of the red wine of the Patrimonio appellation.
The AOC of Patrimonio produces on average 15 000hl per year, 50% of it is the red wine.
A red wine with a pretty ruby color. Rich reds, well structured, spicy with a fruity aroma, which keep between 6 and 7 years.
The red wine of Patrimonio is produced in different municipalities of the Nebbiu region: St. Florent, Oletta, Santo-Pietro-di-Tenda, Poggio Oletta, Farinole, Barbaggio.
This red wine can only be produced from a main varietal: Niellucciu.
Nevertheless complementary grape varieties can be used.
Granite soils, limestone sand, silico-clay, a Mediterranean climate are assets that benefits its soil.
This wine goes well with game, poultry, red meat and must be served at a temperature of 16 ° C.
The red wine of Patrimonio holds the French label AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) but also the European label AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée).
